ALBION – Lovejoy Health Center welcomes two new faces to its practice team this fall: Melissa Martin and Dr. Ann Schwink.

Melissa will serve as Lovejoy’s newest Connector. She earned her Associates degree in Business Management from Eastern Maine Technical College, and her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Husson College. She has experience in patient engagement, community outreach, and connecting patients with energy, housing, health, and other social services. Connectors help patients to apply for affordable health insurance through the Marketplace; assist with applications to both MaineCare and HealthReach’s own Affordable Care “sliding fee” program; and connect patients to community services and resources.

Dr. Schwink – a longtime HealthReach provider at our Strong Area Health Center – has transitioned from providing primary care to focus on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services. She will work across several HealthReach sites to support patients affected by opiate use disorder. Dr. Schwink holds her Doctoral degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, she is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, and she holds an additional certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Melissa and Dr. Schwink join physician Dean Chamberlain, physician assistants Bobby Keith and Nikki Kimborowicz, family nurse practitioners Kaitlynn Read and Keiko Kurita, and licensed clinical social workers Deb Daigle and Rebecca Rice. Our clinicians offer medical and behavioral health services for patients of all ages. Residents of Albion and nearby towns have enjoyed quality care at the Center since its founding in 1978.

In addition, an Affordable Care Program is available to both uninsured and underinsured residents. Assistance is available for applications to programs that help with the cost of your healthcare and medications, including the Health Insurance Marketplace.
