Sheepscot Valley Health Center welcomes new staff to the team

COOPER MILLS – Sheepscot Valley Health Center welcomes two new faces to the team this fall: Dr. Ann Schwink; and physician assistant Anna Simmler.

Anna earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from the A.T. Still University in Arizona. She brings a strong background in emergency medicine and preventative care from a variety of settings. Anna is an appreciated addition to the HealthReach team and the broader community of Coopers Mills.

Dr. Schwink – a longtime provider at HealthReach’s Strong Area Health Center – has transitioned from providing primary care to focus on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services at several HealthReach sites for patients affected by opiate use disorder. Dr. Schwink holds her doctoral degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, she is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, and she holds an additional certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

Anna Simmler and Dr. Ann Schwink join Dr. Kathryn Wistar, family nurse practitioner Natalie Ledue, physician assistants Craig Urwin and Zachary Wissman, podiatrist Henry Scheuller, and licensed clinical social worker Lynn Murphy. Our clinicians offer medical and behavioral health services to patients of all ages. Sheepscot Valley Health Center has served residents of Coopers Mills, Jefferson, Somerville, Washington, Whitefield, Windsor – as well as nearby towns – since its founding in 1980.

Sheepscot Valley Health Center is a part of HealthReach Community Health Centers, a group of twelve Federally Qualified Health Centers located across Central and Western Maine.
