COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (DESIGNER)

HealthReach has a rare opportunity for a great Communications Specialist (“Designer”) to engage in creative work within the non-profit public health/healthcare sphere. Firmly situated at the intersection of health, wellness, storytelling, education, rurality, accessibility, and matters of equity, our next Communications Specialist will influence how our community members across Central & Western Maine learn about and access affordable, quality healthcare close to home. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in developing new ideas, readily receiving & acting on feedback, general design strategies, influencing audiences with compelling visuals, and engaging diverse audiences. Some knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite, or equivalent similar competing platforms (like GIMP), is required — InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop experience. HealthReach’s Central Office is home to the Administration, Billing, Finance, Communications, and Information Technology departments of HealthReach Community Health Centers — a Federally Qualified Health Center consisting of twelve community health centers located across Central and Western Maine. The office is located just minutes from thriving downtown Waterville, which is home to Colby College, well-established dining and nightlife, numerous shopping opportunities, and an up-and-coming art scene. Waterville is a short 25-minute drive to Augusta, Maine’s state capital, and is conveniently situated near I-95 for easy access to all of the opportunities Maine has to offer.
