Responsibilities include: Making specialist and outside diagnostic test appointments for patients, documenting in the EMR, notifying patients of their appointments, tracking referrals to be sure appointments have been made, process insurance referrals and prior authorizations as needed. Excellent communication skills, medical terminology, working knowledge of office procedures and equipment are required. Prior medical office experience and proficient computer skills are preferred.
